I am a physician-scientist and leader the the Charles Bronfman Institute of Personalized Medicine (CBIPM), a team that lives at the cutting edge of medical research. As a scientist, my expertise is in the human genome and the human brain. As a physician, my expertise is in psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. As the leader of CBIPM, my responsibilities include driving some of the most ambitious initiatives in medical research, including the Mount Sinai Million Health Discoveries Program and the Living Brain Project. Altogether, my work aims to alleviate the suffering of those who live with severe mental illnesses, and to train the next generation of like-minded individuals.
