Bio

Andrea Little Limbago is a computational social scientist specializing in the intersection of geopolitics, geoeconomics, and evolving technologies. As the Senior Vice President of Research and Analysis at Interos, Andrea leads the company’s research and computational modeling regarding global supply chain risk. Andrea also is a Co-Program Director for the Emerging Tech and Cybersecurity Program at the National Security Institute at George Mason, an industry advisory board member for the data science program at George Washington University, a non-resident fellow at the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center, and a board member for the Washington, DC chapter of Women in Security and Privacy (WISP). Her research has been published in dozens of media outlets, and she has presented at a range of cybersecurity conferences, including Black Hat, RSA, and USENIX Enigma. Prior to Interos, Andrea was the Chief Social Scientist at Virtru, Endgame, and Berico Technologies, where she integrated social science fundamentals into analyses and models on attacker trends, human-computer interaction, digital authoritarianism, security and privacy regulations, and security culture. She also taught in academia and was a technical lead at the Joint Warfare Analysis Center, where she earned the Command’s top award for technical excellence. Andrea is a vocal advocate for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion within the broader technology and national security communities. She maintains close connections to academia, and frequently presents her research and career path to the next generation of students. Andrea earned a PhD in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a BA from Bowdoin College.
