I am a product manager with a background in digital marketing. In my role at Ontario Tourism Education Corporation (OTEC), I manage a white-labeled web-based product for job seekers and employment service provider organizations called CareerAtlas. As the main point person between the product vendor and the organization, I juggle the expectations, needs, and strategies of both the product vendor and the organization. I am responsible for all aspects of the product, from backlog to training to implementation to product marketing. During my three years at the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC), I transitioned from a marketing and communications role into a Product Manager role when the program Canoo rebranded and launched as a mobile app. Diving into all aspects of product management, I juggled a range of skills in a variety of areas from user testing and research to user experience design to app copywriting, all while continuing to lead the communications to an active membership of over 50,000. I oversaw the Canoo app development, including the product roadmap, product backlog, and feature prioritization, as well as assisted with the business development and strategic direction of Canoo. Before my transition to product, I worked in communications and digital marketing for other non-profit organizations. I hold a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Media in the Public Interest from Western University, as well as a graduate certificate in Digital Media Marketing from George Brown College.
