Bio

Anna is an entrepreneurial and mission-driven leader, founding Ceresa in 2018. At Ceresa, we use technology and data to democratize access to truly transformative leadership development and career management. Ceresa is grounded in a whole-person leadership approach, combining a research-based curriculum, focused executive coaching, expert instruction, and personalized external mentoring, all delivered 100% virtually via an engaging technology platform. As a proud mother to two girls and a transgender son, Anna is committed to diversifying leadership for the future - so our children aren't having these same conversations in another 40 years. Prior to launching Ceresa, Anna was an expert in US healthcare reform, performance improvement, and M&A. She has extensive experience serving not-for-profit health systems and foundations with global, hands-on experience across NA, Europe and Africa; is skilled in creating innovative partnerships, not-for-profit strategies, grants, governance and culture transformations; negotiating/structuring performance contracts; and building mentorship/development programs. At McKinsey & Company, where she was elected early as a partner in 2012, Anna’s health care reform strategy/performance transformation work includes private and public sector projects. For a US health system, she led a series of teams over a 5 year period that realized $80+M in annual EBITDA improvement and 150%+ share price growth. For a $9B Canadian health system, she designed a 10-year program aimed to halve bed demand, and redesigned the seniors’ care system targeting $500M in savings. M&A activities include leading a multi-billion dollar acquisition/integration for a major health system that attained synergies worth 10% of combined EBITDA during the 1st year; creating a US hospital merger cultural assessment tool; and leading post-merger integrations for not-for-profit health systems that attained admin cost savings of 10-20%. Anna’s not-for-profit work across the US and UK includes serving a global foundation on a $200M healthcare grant strategy across Nigeria, Senegal, Mauritania and Egypt. An entrepreneur, business builder, people and thought leader, she established and grew the M&A group focused on healthcare providers; created and led the global Healthcare group women’s initiative providing coaching and mentorship; and delivered reform and scale presentations at healthcare conferences, executive round-tables and retreats. Anna has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MPhil and a BA from the University of Oxford, England.
