Bio

It’s no surprise to those who have known me since childhood that I'd establish a career in marketing and communications & learning and development. I have always loved creating brands, writing content, developing marketing collateral, and applying my skills in a way that directly supports an organization or campaign I’m passionate about. I kicked-off my career in the Occupational Health & Safety industry where I managed a national safety designation, spearheaded national safety conferences, and curated safety-related resources and content for members in the industry. It was throughout my time working here when I realized how I can use my skills in marketing and communications to generate real change in the community I live and work in – something I have also always cared deeply about. From there, I ended up on route to my previous role where I worked on local, regional, and national levels to promote the inclusion and full participation of persons with disabilities in the Canadian workforce. Through collaboration with service providers, employers, and other stakeholder groups I designed, developed, and delivered accessible training and professional development opportunities, and led marketing campaigns that have been taken up across Canada. Working in the Supported Employment industry has led to my new-found passion for Learning and Development, which brings me up to my latest position as a National Trainer & Enrollment Coordinator. I have the incredible opportunity to connect with Supported Employment service providers across Canada in developing their own professional development skills and gain insights on the latest trends in our industry. In my spare time, I also work as a Marketing & Communications Director for a locally owned Horticultural business (who doesn’t love flowers?) where I have established their brand identity, manage their social media platforms/omni-channel marketing, developed internal and external communication strategies, and just launched their first ever e-Commerce website. You can definitely say I like to keep myself busy!
