Bryan is the Managing Principal Consultant overseeing EH&E’s Healthcare teams and projects. He is responsible for business strategy and strategy implementation, day-to-day consulting activities, key client support and solutions, and team/staff development for EH&E’s largest market/business sector. He provides operational guidance and technical support for EH&E’s healthcare sector in the areas of physical environment infection control consulting, environmental health and safety (EH&S) and Environment of Care (EC) / life safety (LS) program management, USP 797/800/cGMP, and regulatory compliance with Joint Commission EC and LS ((and Det Norske Veritas (DNV) comparable standards)), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements. Bryan has conducted numerous environmental infection outbreak investigations at hospitals throughout the US related to fungal, bacteria, mycobacterium infections, as well as legionella/waterborne pathogens and other opportunist microorganisms associated with the hospital physical environment. Bryan prides himself working hand-in-hand with EH&E’s engineering team to find probable causal associations related to these patient infections, determining effective corrective actions, and being able to explain these issues to a broad range of hospital stakeholders. He has presented the findings of these investigations at the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), the Association for Professionals in Infection Control (APIC), and American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE). He performs management level assessments and mock audits at hospitals across the US and coordinates with several large hospitals in the greater Boston area that partner with EH&E to deliver high value risk management services. Bryan has supported several hospitals and hospital systems with risk management and risk reduction strategies for SARS CoV2 (COVID-19), including outbreak and ''pathway'' investigations, HVAC system assessments, review of cleaning protocols, and performing personal protective equipment (PPE) risk assessments. Bryan overseas a successful business unit of nearly 30 professionals providing EH&S and risk management services tailored to the Healthcare environment, where Bryan has worked for over 20 years.
