I give employees text-first, no-cost basic healthcare, supplemented by periodic workplace clinics. My carved-out 'space' is between Google searches and going to the doctor office, where so many people just need a little human help. A pre-benefit benefit, to try and pick off the easy stuff so folks don’t have to miss work, pay a lot of money and…generally be dissatisfied. With that mission in mind, I developed a software platform that allows patients to text healthcare questions to a doctor - using regular SMS texting, just like they text with family and friends - which is then integrated automatically into a medical record. I'm also a dad, brother, son, step-son, Tar Heel, amateur guitar player, and owner of dog that wears a diaper.
