Cam is a holistic thinker and a creative problem-solver, always approaching problems from multiple angles to find the most innovative solutions. She currently works as a Research Associate at the Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC), using high standards of evidence and research practices to improve the well-being of Canadians, especially the vulnerable populations such as youth, people living with disabilities, women, Indigenous Peoples, and people from visible minority groups. A quantitative researcher by training, Cam is well-versed in data processing languages, and has collaborated with senior data scientists and economists to conduct complex statistical analyses for various projects, ranging from financial literacy, adult education and skills upgrading, to social finance. More importantly, Cam always strives to communicate research results in a clear, credible and compelling way, conveying both the intricacies of the research and the applicability of its implications. Always looking to expand beyond her comfort zone, Cam is also strengthening her qualitative and implementation research skills. She has led the Organizational Needs Analysis for multiple sectors. Most recently, she serves as a key contributor to a pan-Canadian project designing, implementing and evaluating an innovative mentorship program for the construction trades, as a response to the forecasted labour shortages in the sector. Throughout these projects, Cam has accumulated valuable experiences developing interview protocols, drafting communication materials, coming up with creative implementation designs, and liaising with key stakeholders. Cam holds an MA degree in economics from Carleton University, an MPhil degree in International Development from Cambridge University (UK) and a BA in Political Economy and Psychology from Williams College (US).
