After traveling to over 115 countries a career in the travel industry seems like a good idea. In fact is a dream came true for the girl born and raised in Romania, still under the iron curtain, and who's dream job at 8 y.o. was to become a ''world traveler'' after reading Jules Verne’s ''Around the world in 80 days''. I am still very much passionate about the discovery of this wonderful planet and its people and for over 22 years my feet followed my heart around the world. Whether working on cruise ships, in Singapore or Barcelona my career path was always about helping travelers create the best memories of their vacations, hoping to inspire them into taking the next adventure, into spending some time with the people of a new destination, trying a new flavor or allowing themselves to be surprised by a new place. I believe that travel can help understand each other better and, when done responsibly, it can be a force for good. Recently, the work that inspired me and of which I am most proud of is bringing to life the National Geographic Day Tours, a new product line of unique experiences resulted from the collaboration of TUI Musement and National Geographic Expeditions. Managing this project and seeing these experiences coming to life has been a rewarding professional journey. Outside the office, in a parallel universe or alternative life, I am an accomplished photographer. Photography is the way I express myself artistically and also the way I document my travels. My not so sustainable indulgence is that I love printed books but I try to compensate by using the re-read book stores and libraries.
