Oh, how dry....that plus the info I've detailed below is great if you want to know my qualifications and experience. But in reality, it doesn't tell you squat about what I'm really like as a person. Curious, adventurous soul? Yup. I escaped my crib as a child and tried to fly. I was supposed to aim for the floor and miss (HGTTG), but I ended up with a broken ankle. While a cast didn't stop me from running around the house, I did learn to assess each situation better before leaping. More importantly, it didn't hinder my curiosity or love of exploration. Optimistic realist? Yup again. I have a glass. It really doesn't matter if it's full or empty as there will be moments for each. Even having that glass isn't critical. There are so many ways to collect rainwater... Dedicated? Almost to a fault. Builds character...like Gonzo the Great.... I've never found the need to use calculus when shopping in a supermarket. I need to appreciate statistics more. Bioinformatics and data mining are cool, but I would get so much more out of it if I could code (still on my bucket list). Diving into scientific problems still keeps me up past midnight, as does a good book. I can still pipet like a champ. I've got great people skills. I've been called a troubleshooting guru. I've learned as much from great mentors as I have from not-so-stellar managers. I know there's no point in yelling at anyone, it never achieves the desired result, minor manipulation is a great alternative. Do I feel successful? Yes. How can I help your initiatives succeed?
