Bio

Cristina is the coordinator of the NECSTouR Network. Her duties include driving and promoting the network’s strategy and activities, identifying and selecting good practices on sustainable tourism management and liaising with the European Institutions. Her key skills lie in her knowledge and experience on the European tourism sector and the area of communication and events organisation. She has worked for five years as Events Project Manager in ECORYS Brussels NV. Previously, she made a traineeship at the European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry, Tourism Unit, where she focussed on funding opportunities for the sector and political instruments to promote sustainability principles in the EU Member States. She has also worked as Project Assistant for the Catalonia Tourism Board in Brussels, organising and guiding thematic promotional trips, workshops, trade fairs and media events to promote this destination in the Benelux market. Cristina has a long track record of events successfully organised for the European Institutions and is a passionate of the tourism industry. She has strong organisational, networking and business development skills, which allow her to easily adapt to different working environments positioning her as a team builder and integrator. She speaks Spanish and Catalan (native), English and French (fluent).
