Thank you for taking time to learn about me! Everyone, everywhere is - or has been - a patient, or knows a patient. Occasionally, we need drugs (the legal kind, of course) to help us or our loved ones. This is where I come in. Life is my life’s work. And, I love it! I am a straightforward, pragmatic C-level life sciences leader with 25+ years of international experience. Past roles include President, CEO, CTO+ (a hybrid COO-CTO). My expertise spans the drug development continuum from research through commercialization. I have served as a Board member and on advisory boards. I’ve led the development, licensure, commercialization and subsequent delivery to patients, of more than 15 new medical therapies for patients globally. I have worked with small molecules, biologics, vaccines, radio-labeled and advanced therapies (gene therapies) across all therapeutic areas in start-up businesses, small, medium and large sized companies. My last 15 years have been dedicated to leading technical, process and analytical development, preclinical, clinical and commercial manufacturing, supply chain, QA & QC, engineering and facilities, capital projects, real estate, corporate security, IT, EHS&S (environmental, health, safety & sustainability), HR, finance, business development, compliance and government affairs, research/discovery, M&A, and clinical development. My peers have described me as fearless, unflappable when things are stressful or frenetic, tenacious and courageous, capable of turning complexity and chaos into well considered, focused and steady drive and delivery (making it happen). I am happy to say ‘I don’t know’, ‘I was wrong’, ‘I’m sorry’. I don’t need to be the ‘best’ in the room; I love to see someone knocking it out of the proverbial park, I root others on and want to help them to see how brightly they can shine. I believe that we should be guided by fully engaging our colleagues, effectively removing barriers and allowing each individual to contribute at their highest through a focus on people, the diversity, strengths and perspectives each one brings to the collective professional table. I want to make a true and meaningful difference every day in the quest to improve the quality of life and health of patients around the world, being bold and approaching each day with passion, urgency, resilience, grit, humanity and accountability. We are all patients, at the end of the day...this is personal.
