Hi, I’m David Evans - Joint CEO at Collinson, lover of the great outdoors and father of three wonderful daughters. As a son of the founder, Collinson has been present in my life since my Dad setup the business in the 80’s. My childhood memories are filled with times where we spent time visiting offices at the weekends, being lucky enough to accompany my Dad on a few business trips around the world and earning extra pocket money stuffing envelopes with my brother and Mum in our dining room to help keep things going in the early days. Always encouraged to forge my own path, after University I joined a Lloyd’s Broker and kicked off a career in Insurance which saw me developing my skills on both the distribution and Underwriting side of the sector. Before joining Collinson I was Managing Director of a Speciality lines insurance business in London. In 2010, I surpised myself by joining the family business to lead our fledging insurance divsion and worked by way up to Joint CEO where I am now responsible for leading our commercial and client teams around the globe. I am a passionate believer that you need to love what you do, and if you get it right, your work can be central to your passion and identity. I love an adventure, and I have cycled from John O’groats to Land’s end, run a marathon along our south coast, raced on skis in the Derby du Roc Merlet in the Franch Alps and more recently went around the UK in an rigid inflatable boat!
