Eduard Martin Lineros (Barcelona, 1965). Engineer in Computer Science, Technical Systems Engineer from the Open University of Catalonia, Cambridge Diploma in Information Technology and IESE certificate in innovation management. Now I'm in charge of the 5G Programme at Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation and also I'm the CIO of the company. I'm working to convert Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain in one of the most important digital hubs in the world trhough two projects: 5GBarcelona and Spanish National 5G Observatory. As a CEO of 5GBarcelona initiative, I'm promoting the evolution, deploying and development of the 5G technology, to improve the quality of live of the people. I have worked for the City Council since 1988 at the Municipal Institute of Computer Science. Since 1991 I've participated in complex ICT projects and holding positions ranging from transaction systems and minicomputers to the design and management of networks computers, team management and processes of tech transfer with different technology providers. I am currently the Director of Innovation, Knowledge Society and ICT architectures, working in the management of innovation processes, and participating of the internationalization of the ICT model of the city of Barcelona. Along with my career in the City Council, for 11 years I was a professor at several prestigious computer training schools (Bit NetMind and Megatraining) and I've participated in different research groups. Academically I have yet to finish two degrees: the Bachelor of Law and a Masters in Social Knowledge. I am also an expert in innovation management from IESE. I've spent a lot of effort in the construction of a model for ICT innovation management. This model was approved by MITIC initiative (7 March 2013) by the Barcelona City Council. Another achievement was the UNE 166002 as a method of quality management for innovation management. The promotion of the social knowledge to foster technology, transfer processes in society, overcoming the digital division and incorporating mobility as a tool for communication and collaboration were the basic objectives of my position in the city hall. In march of 2014 the Innovation team of the Barcelona City Council won the iCapital award (first european capital of Innovation), from the European Comission. Before I'm in charge of the 5G Programme at MWCapital, I was the Director of Smart Cities and Strategy for the Public Sector at Sopra Steria corporation.
