Gbenga Hassan is the Managing Partner at Àrgentil Capital Management Limited and oversees the principal investments, private equity and asset management business. Gbenga has over 27 years of private equity, principal investing, and financial advisory experience in the international and West African markets. Gbenga is a very active investor in the SMEs in Nigeria and West Africa. At Àrgentil he has led investments in Sygen Pharmaceuticals and First Modular Gas Systems Limited and has also lead investments in early-stage technology startups and venture capital funds. Several investments made have been recoginised as deal of the year at awards by Private Equity Africa. As an active investor in many SME's Gbenga sits on the board of these companies where he provides strategic advice and support to entrepreneurs across different areas including raising financing, business development, strategy execution, networking etc.

Previously, Gbenga was responsible for identifying, originating, and executing private equity transactions in West Africa at Aureos Capital, specialising in deal structuring, valuation, and portfolio management. He also worked with Standard Bank London and Stanbic Bank Nigeria in various corporate and project finance roles. He holds an MSc from University College London and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
