As Turner’s Chief Innovation Officer, I lead the research, development, and deployment of cutting-edge solutions that improve and transform the built environment in accordance with a philosophy of ''purposeful'' innovation that is customer-centric and human-oriented. My life has been defined by an insatiable curiosity, a passionate discontent for what is, and a devotion to realizing what could be. Since joining Turner nearly thirty years ago, I have held various positions and have served as Manager and Director of several Turner divisions across the U.S. I have been fortunate that over the past almost twenty years, in particular, to have been involved in and, in many cases, to have led numerous enterprise-wide organizational change initiatives that have allowed me to enjoy a career of continuous learning that has led to the accumulation of a diverse and wide-ranging set of expertise that offers insights into the future and the ability to position Turner to capitalize on it. In particular, my expertise and efforts have led to the development and implementation of a framework and system of innovation at Turner that enables the continuous advancement of new knowledge and capabilities across domains of innovation such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) / Virtual Design and Construction (VDC); Lean thinking, methods, and practices; modular, offsite and prefabrication; virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR); artificial intelligence; and robotics and automation.
