Joanna Rotenberg is president of Personal Investing at Fidelity Investments, which serves the full needs of investors of all ages and asset classes, including private wealth management, retirement, advisory, brokerage, insurance, and digital advice. Prior to her role at Fidelity, Joanna spent more than a decade at BMO Financial Group, a Toronto-based global financial services firm. Joanna acted as BMO’s Head of Strategy and Chief Marketing Officer, before becoming Group Head, BMO Wealth Management in 2016, providing retail and institutional clients with a range of wealth management, asset management, and insurance solutions. Joanna is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, and is currently the executive sponsor of Fidelity’s Women’s Leadership Group, which provides mentors, networking opportunities, and resources that address members' financial, professional, and personal well-being. She has been named one of Canada's Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network, and was selected as a Women in Capital Markets Champion of Change for her leadership in actively driving positive change for diversity and inclusion. For ten years in a row, American Banker also selected Joanna and the BMO team of female leaders to win its Most Powerful Women in Banking and Finance Top Team Award. Prior to joining BMO, Joanna was a Partner with McKinsey & Company and a leader in McKinsey’s North American financial services practice. She is an alumni of the University of Toronto, earning her combined JD/MBA degree, and is also a member of the New York Bar. She currently serves as Treasurer to the Board of Directors of Sinai Health System. She acted as the 2020 Chair of the Major Individual Gifts Cabinet for United Way of Greater Toronto.
