Dr Joshua Li graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2011 and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) in 2014. He graduated from the National University Health System (NUHS) Family Medicine Residency Programme and obtained his Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) from NUS in 2018. Entering the Register of Family Physicians in 2019, Joshua is an ordinary member of the College of Family Physicians Singapore (CFPS). He completed his Sports Medicine Advanced Specialist Training (AST) in Changi General Hospital (CGH) and was registered as a Sports Physician by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) in 2022. Passionate in medical education, Joshua holds multiple undergraduate and post-graduate teaching appointments. He also serves on the Sports Medicine Association Singapore (SMAS) executive committee, organising events to help expand the local Sports Medicine community. Joshua also provides medical cover for sports events like the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix and Singapore Premier League. As an athlete, Joshua is an alumnus of the NUS Aquathlon team and was a member of the National Triathlon Training Squad. He represented Singapore at the 2010 World University Triathlon Championships in Valencia, Spain. Currently, Joshua actively participates in local and overseas multisport races, from sprint to Ironman distances. Also an avid marathoner, he achieved his personal best timing of 2h 53min at the 2019 New York City Marathon. In 2023, Joshua rejoined the national team under Triathlon Singapore’s High Performance Programme Development Squad for aquathlon.
