A proud immigrant, American citizen, mother, woman in technology, and champion for social change, I serve as the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Officer for Deloitte US. I lead the firm’s strategy to drive more equitable outcomes by extending our DEI focus across talent practices, all client-facing and operational activities, and the firm’s impact on society. I champion creating the culture and the systems that help empower everyone to thrive as their exceptional selves and reach their full potential. And I spearhead Deloitte’s DEI Transparency Report, first issued in 2020, setting a new standard for racial, ethnic, and gender data transparency and accountability. I co-lead the Executive Women in technology initiative for Deloitte’s CIO Program focused on connecting Women CIOs/CTOs. I co-lead the firm’s Black Action Council, which serves as a catalyst for a long-term strategy to advance Black colleagues and communities by developing a culture of anti-racism both inside and outside Deloitte’s four walls. And I play a key role in Deloitte’s commitment as a founding member of OneTen, a coalition to create more than 1 million jobs for Black Americans over the next ten years. Along with Deloitte’s CEO and executive team, I have championed $26 million in pro bono and donations to organizations for improving social justice, employment, wealth, and equal educational opportunities, with additional funding for organizations addressing anti-Asian discrimination.
