A strategic, business-focused leader with over 30 years of experience in the delivery of leading-edge security approaches for a VUCA environment. I am a strategic thinker who can see the big picture and come up with creative solutions to reduce risk exposure and a strong background in creating and implementing governance frameworks. I am an early adopter of new cybersecurity technologies with a forward-thinking approach. I am a concept chief and an avid contributor to the Infosec domain as a Panel Speaker and additionally via articles, media interviews, etc. at India, APAC and Global forums. Using my experience as a practicing CISO for over a decade, currently I am providing VCISO / Fractional CISO services to businesses to help them build a robust cybersecurity landscape that is aligned with the organization's digital journey and business goals and to comply with their statutory and regulatory compliance requirements by: • Creating a master plan (Long-term strategy & Roadmap) based on assessed current state versus internationally accepted standards. • Building Governance, Risk Management & Compliance frameworks. • Building & stabilizing sustainable cybersecurity operations. • Driving large projects on Cybersecurity solutions implementation. (and) • Reporting to Board & Senior Leadership on the maturity of Cybersecurity Controls & Risk Treatment. While working with previous organisations, I have managed most of the IT functions like Infrastructure & Operations, ITSM, IT General Controls, Business Process Excellence, SAP Security, Cybersecurity, Data Center management etc. and this gives me a significant advantage, as I can picture an entire environment in which infrastructure, Applications and IT Security functions perform. I have also managed complex information security projects & operations. Worked closely with Engineering team to implement, monitor, and enforce security practices that enhance security while minimizing workflow disruptions, in collaboration with other departments. I have maintained Correct balance between security and agility and Promulgated cyber security policies and procedures; balancing the benefits and risks of each. I have led multi-geography security teams that develop alerting capabilities, respond to escalations, and triage suspicious events, and investigating threats.
