Marina Willer is a renowned graphic designer, filmmaker and partner at Pentagram. In 2011 she was invited to become the first female partner at Pentagram’s London Studio. Ten years later she was honored with the title Royal Designer for Industry (RDI) by the Royal Society of Arts. In the past five years she also appeared in Design Week’s Hall of Fame, Creative Review’s Creative Leaders, Design Week’s People Who Made an Impact on Design and The Dots’ Female Creative Leaders. An expert in brand identity, she has been the creative lead on the design of many major identity schemes for clients including Tate, Amnesty International, Southbank Centre, Serpentine, Oxfam, Nesta, Richard Rogers, Maggie’s, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Woodgreen Pets charity, Blood Cancer UK, the Opera Ballet of Flandres and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Born in Brazil, Marina studied at the Royal College of Art in London. Her first feature film, Red Trees, premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and was released worldwide by Netflix. Her films have been shown at Fondation Cartier in Paris, the ICA London, cinemas and film festivals worldwide. A collaborative and playful approach combined with a passion for craft and experimentation runs through both her client and personal work. Her joyful compositions and desire to cover any surface with colour and pattern to create precious artworks from everyday objects has led to creative collaborations with the likes of Ally Capellino, Domestika, and many more.
