I am honored to lead such a talented and dedicated group of people as we continue to make a huge impact on the lives of our students and on the economy and society of Arkansas. My career path has been a rewarding journey and I am grateful for each opportunity that has helped prepare me for my current role. I am proud to have joined the University of Arkansas in 1994 as a visiting assistant professor and to have held numerous positions within the College of Business. As chair of the Department of Supply Chain Management when it was established in 2011, and then subsequently as dean of the Walton College since 2015, I have been able to contribute to the University in meaningful ways. I am also fortunate to have co-founded Bentonville Associates Ventures and Mercari Technologies. Becoming an administrator was never part of my plan, yet I have found immense joy in the work I am doing. It has been incredibly fulfilling to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, deans, benefactors, administrators, and business and community leaders as we create and implement our strategic vision. I am especially thankful for the generous support of our alumni who have given both financially and with their time and wisdom. This has enabled us to launch the Little Rock Executive Education office, the Brewer Family Entrepreneurship Hub on the square in Fayetteville, the McMillon Innovation Studio on campus, the Supply Chain Policy Initiative, the Blockchain Center of Excellence, and the William Dillard Department of Accounting. Additionally, many of them have served on one of my three advisory boards. I am incredibly proud of our faculty, staff, and students for continuously embodying our EPIC values of excellence, professionalism, innovation, and collegiality. Our faculty have won numerous teaching awards, serve as editors of peer-reviewed journals, and are leaders in professional organizations. It is an honor to lead such a talented and dedicated group of people as we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our students and in the economy and society of Arkansas.
