A talented and experienced leader, who is successfully shaping strategic initiatives to support banking executives define their digital strategies, build agile organisations, and transform their customer journeys; delivering truly innovative, valuable and profitable products and services to their customers. Michael helps build agile businesses, bringing together cross-functional teams to rapidly design, deliver, test and evolve new and innovative digital products and services, co-created with consumers, using human centered service design and agile techniques, by harnessing the power of SaaS. He is actively engaging with the Digital and Fintech communities, through collaboration projects and participation in key industry conferences and events as a keynote speaker. An empowering team leader and motivator, Michael is highly recognised for his servant leadership, his customer focus, his ability to drive the right business and technology decisions in challenging situations and foster strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders at CxO level. Michael is now back at Capital One, driving tech architecture, strategy and innovation, after setting up FIBRs new greenfield and cloud native digital banking platform. Prior to this, Michael served as Head of Innovation Design at LBG, setup Capita Consulting's Agile Transformation capability and EY's Digital Banking Transformation Advisory practice, helping large financial institutions develop innovative digital propositions, shape their strategic roadmaps and deliver their digital and agile transformation programmes. Michael directed teams responsible for defining, setting up and delivering major business and technology transformation programmes and successfully undertook solution architecture delivery roles in large and complex enterprise system replacement projects, across the Financial Services industry, working for IBM and PwC Consulting.
