Coaching my team is my passion, my purpose, and my joy in life! I live to teach, lead, mentor, and motivate team members to reach their best personal performance every day. My mission as Chief Performance Officer is to guide the team to achieve 100% occupancy, meet the organization’s revenue goals, and keep residents happy and engaged. I strive to inspire focus on ONE key achievement each day and to uncover creative solutions to challenges. This inspiration is delivered in the form of a daily Zoom call which incorporates live role play focused on that single goal or purpose. I can not imagine my life without these interactions. The honor bestowed upon me by each willing participant is coupled with my ability to motivate and coach to peak performance using creative paths tailored to the unique talents of each person – it is who I am. This was not always so. As a young girl in school, the very thought of public speaking caused panic, sweaty palms, and shaking. I decided I wouldn’t let this hold me back and applied for a certified trainer role. Toastmasters also helped turn my life around. My career was launched when I was just 15. I was a filing clerk for the Korman Company. One day the phone rang, and no one was available to answer. I took the call and landed three fully-furnished corporate suite leases on that day. Today I perform live morning “huddles” beginning at 8:15 AM and running throughout the day. Most are planned, but many are impromptu. These Zoom meetings help me as well. I learn so much from the front line to keep the company current with technology, generational fads, diversity, and client-based trends. When the pandemic struck, I created a task force for managing day-to-day activities with a focus on revenue generators and creative new ways to serve residents and clients. We developed a highly engaged interactive system for live video touring and service ticket management. The result: 60% of our portfolio was 100% occupied with minimal concessions. Service ticket management turned into resident retention engagements.
