Dr. Michelle Weiner is double board certified in Interventional Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a partner in a private practice, Spine and wellness centers of America. With the focus on integrative pain management her medical-based yet holistic technique allows her to tap into the root causes of pain - both physical and emotional - in order to provide her patients with thorough, comprehensive and long-lasting relief. Practitioners like Dr. Weiner view their patients as a whole - mind, body and spirit. By paying close attention to lifestyle factors such as diet and fitness, sleeping patterns, and even more importantly, the nature of their past experiences, personal relationships and the way they navigate the world she is able to uncover past trauma which may show up as physical pain. Alleviating pain that is trapped in the body due to past circumstances, allows her patients to live a fuller life. The most valuable tools in her diagnostic toolkit are her specialized use of Cannabis, CBD, and Ketamine assisted psychotherapy. This combination has set her apart in South Florida. Acknowledging that pain varies from person to person, she designs each treatment plan on an individual basis that takes the medical condition, patient history and their cultural and personal values and preferences into consideration. By combining this method with hard science, patients feel more in control of their illness and decreasing pharmaceuticals in the treatment of conditions such as pain, inflammation, anxiety, insomnia and other neurodegenerative diseases, quickly improves quality of life for each patient. She completed her residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami. She is a member of Florida’s Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee. Dr. Weiner’s unique approach of personalized and preventative medicine focuses on empowering her patients to cultivate health using lifestyle and plant medicine. Her research focuses on using cannabis as a substitute for opioids in chronic pain patients and cannabis’s effect on seniors with chronic pain. She is faculty and a preceptor at Nova Southeastern University in which she educates the medical students through shadowing opportunities in her office. Dr. Weiner is the Vice President of Mr. Psychedelic Law, a not-for-profit with the mission of responsible legal reform of psilocybin mushrooms in Florida.
