More than 15 years experience in the tourism economic sector, from private, public and academic sides. I am the founder and CEO of the international research and consultancy firm in2destination specialized in Tourism BIG DATA, working towards smart, sustainable and inclusive destinations and businesses. I am an expert consultant for UNWTO, lecturer at University of Deusto, INRouTe’s VicePresident, and Invited Lecturer for several Master Degree Programmes in Tourism & Entrepreneurship and Tourism Economics in Spain and Italy. Event management has been a constant accross my career as it is a key vehicle for many of the objectives needed in projects. I have organized high end events in NYC, academic conferences in Spain, Puerto Rico (US), Colombia, Switzerland and miscellaneous events in the UK, Italy and Spain. My research work has been published by UNWTO, INRouTe, academic publications and international conferences. I am fortunate to live and work in Bilbao and my work has taken me to other parts of Spain, UK, Italy, US, France, Colombia, Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and Timor Leste.
