Nick is the Australian Country Manager for BlueFloat Energy, a global offshore wind project developer. As Country Manager, Nick is responsible for leading the development of offshore wind projects from site screening through to final investment decision and beyond. Nick manages site selection, consenting, development planning, and establishes and maintains relationships with strategic partners and key local stakeholders. Prior to joining BlueFloat Energy, Nick developed projects with a UK renewables firm including leading the development of a 300MW solar farm in Queensland, Australia. Nick was responsible for raising project finance and leading commercial negotiations with the transmission network provider, off-take counterparty and EPC contractor. Nick also led business development activities, evaluating solar and battery storage project development opportunities across Australia. Nick has worked in the energy sector for over 20 years, financing energy and infrastructure projects across Australia / NZ, UK / Europe and North America. Whilst at Commonwealth Bank, Nick led the Project Finance and Infrastructure & Utilities teams, providing financial solutions to large-scale energy, infrastructure and renewables projects. Nick holds Bachelor degrees in Commerce & Arts and a Master’s degree in Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
