My research interests focus on the interactions of light with nanostructures, with emphasis on plasmonic systems (i.e. optically resonant metallic systems). My expertise includes modelling, nanofabrication and optical characterization of plasmonic nanostructures; as well as applications to biosensing and optical signal processing at the nanoscale. Specialties: Nanophotonics, plasmonics, biosensing, modeling optical nanostructures, nanofabrication, near-field optics, optical antennas and optical metamaterials.
