But I wanted to do more. I had the opportunity to build out the technology framework of a new investment firm from scratch, without the baggage of legacy systems. After completing that project other firms started asking me to help them in the same way. I found my purpose, and have been obsessed with cybersecurity since before it became a buzzword. In 2008 when I started my company, I continued to hone our process: helping small businesses in the financial industry build a security framework that would rival that of their larger competitors. I approached each client with the goal of solving the same challenge: How do I help small businesses compete in an industry scrutinized by regulators and investors that demands the highest level of security to be compliant despite size? The truth is, many companies get stuck at what I call the 1st tier of IT made up of just technology without added security: - Vulnerable systems and data left open to cyber criminals - Cobbled together IT solutions that function, but don’t securely support growth goals - Ineffective, inefficient tools that hinder employee productivity I want to elevate the businesses I work with. Everyone deserves the same white-level service from their tech partner regardless of their size. I take a pragmatic approach to IT and cybersecurity. The “rip out and replace everything today” method is extremely disruptive to established companies. I’m committed to meeting clients where they are and working to improve their technology over time to: - Develop a prevention framework that ensures business continuity through compliance and low incidence of client downtime - Implement business enablement processes that allow employees to leverage technology to be more efficient and productive - Have peace of mind that business and customer data is secure so you can focus on running your business I have a philosophy: You can have the right tool for the job but it does you no good if you don’t know how to use it. Having technology doesn’t guarantee security, efficiency or productivity.
