Determination Out of Necessity: How A Salesperson is Born Born and raised in Eastern Europe - Lithuania, Renata’s life experiences and perspective differs from most. In 2001, after three years of engineering school in Lithuania, she immigrated to the US. Renata already spoke three languages, but spoke no English when arrived. After a flight through New York and a 32 hour bus ride to Kansas City, she got off on Broadway St. with friends and $40.00 in her pocket. Fortunately, her background and status left her no choice but to rely on determination and work from the bottom up. While finishing her Urban Planning & Design degree at UMKC architecture/Planning program, Renata got recruited by Gould Evans that had a strong emphasis on presentation & design where she started her career in the design field. Always enjoying commercial projects and seeing projects come to life, Renata shifted her career into commercial masonry & EIFS/stucco construction with Bricks & Stones Inc to do sales & project management of the company’s commercial projects. She was provided little to no training, no contacts or leads, barely knew what masonry was, and all during what is now recognized as to worst economy for construction in memorable history. Later Renata was recruited by Canyon Stone where she enhanced her experience by selling manufactured stone projects. With her great determination, she quickly learned the product, the industry and found a way to find great success in this male-dominated industry. However, Renata always had her site set on the tech industry. In 2019, she joined the SimPRO Team where she lent her experience in construction to consult in the service and construction management software market. Today, Renata works with SimPRO to help businesses get their life back.
