Bio

2020 DIT Champions Award winner. 2019 Civil Service Skilled Peoples Award winner. 2019 British Urban Film Festival (BUFF) Best Documentary award winner, The iD Project. Over 15 years of experience working within the public, private and third sectors as a communications consultant, specialising in personal and corporate brand development, internal and external focused campaigns, and promotional film production. Richard's expertise shone brightly during his time at 10 Downing Street where, as Theresa May's personal videographer, he used the connection of social media to transform Mrs. May's persona into one that showed a softer, more emotive side right up until her last public speech. Now as a leadership consultant to politicians, artists and retired sports stars, Richard takes pride in helping his clients and stakeholders to communicate effectively and from a place of trust and authenticity. With a strong love for filmmaking, Richard's work has featured on countless national and international broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4 and ITV. Richard's debut documentary 'The iD Project' won Best Documentary at the 2019 British Urban Film Festival and won the Film Reel Award at the 2019 Caribe Film Festival in Miami, FL. Richard was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees at Hackney Empire, in a year the historic landmark will celebrate 120 years since it first welcomed theatregoers through its doors. Richard is also a Masterclass tutor with The Guardian News and Media. Read up on his latest events: http://bit.ly/MyGuardianMasterclass
