Richard is the Vice President & General Manager for Australia & New Zealand at InMobi. He brings a global perspective with over 20+ years of experience in the media, marketing & advertising industry, having worked for technology & publishing companies across London, Dubai, Singapore, New York, Sydney & Melbourne. His earlier stints include leading EMEA, Asia & North America for InMobi to which he was asked to return by senior management in 2019 to perform a turnaround in the Australia & New Zealand region. In addition he has set up his own company, Protean Consulting, and acts in the capacity of Advisor, Mentor & Consultant focused on market entry, turnarounds and non-linear revenue growth opportunities. Richard has an MBA from University of Manchester, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology from University of Plymouth. His thesis completed in 2017 was “The 4th Industrial Revolution - Why the proliferation of Data and application of Machine Learning & Automation threatens to disrupt and disintermediate the Agency model for Advertisers.” A topic still being hotly contested today. With the rapid escalation in privacy regulation globally and the expected impact on the media, marketing and tech industry he undertook further study at Melbourne Law School for Privacy Law (#1 Law School in Australia/ #12 Globally) He currently sits on the IAB Executive Technology and Data Councils for Australia.
