Board Certified Psychiatrist and experienced Principal Investigator with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry with rich experience in Clinical Protocol Development and Execution. Committed to exploring new treatments for patients suffering from mental illness. Currently working as a Chief Scientific Officer for Segal Trials and helping plan and implement scientific strategy for this dynamic organization. Very humbled and excited to be leading the “Center for Psychedelic and Cannabis Research” at Segal Trials that is focused on investigating mechanisms, biomarkers and therapeutic potential of psychedelics and Cannabis through rigorous research. Principal investigator for phase I- IV CNS clinical trials in indications including depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, pain, dementia and substance use. Extensive experience and special interest in early phase and first in human trial designs in CNS and psychedelic space. Strong educational background with psychiatry training from Georgetown University and specialized training from National Institute of Mental Health.
