I am a physician-scientist and my research focuses on the application of cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital biomarkers and extended reality (XR) to assess and enhance clinicians' performance and improve patient safety in a variety of fields, including emergency medicine, critical care, surgery, space medicine and military. My research is funded by the NIH, DoD, NASA. NSF and AHRQ. I was trained in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the University of Sao Paulo Medical School, in Brazil and earned a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences and an M.B.A in Hospital and Health Systems Administration. I completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Human Factors and Medical Simulation. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Research and Innovation at the STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation | Mass General Brigham (MGB), in Boston, MA, where I lead the Human Factors and Cognitive Engineering Lab. I'm also the program director for the EM Simulation Fellowship and the Co-Chair for the MGB Center of Expertise in Medical Education. WEBSITE: www.scholar.harvard.edu/rogerdias
