I'm a self-made, rags-to-glory story. All due to the revolutionary power of education. The powerful equaliser. Born to a very poor family in Kenya, my father died three weeks to my primary school final examination. In high school, we had no money for school fees. I started school late, when I was almost ten years old. But I've never looked back. Going all the way to obtain the prestigious German Venia legendi (unique postdoc). Over time I've carefully walked up the ladder of life with a robust international exposure including five years spent in China and nearly ten in Germany. I possess invaluable experience in project and portfolio management as well as rigourous knowledge of NPD and management/leadership of a motivated functional team in order to deliver key business targets in times without compromise on scientific rigour and quality. In my daily work I collaborate with both global and regional R&D colleagues to address their needs. I've built a strong network of international collaborators in key universities and research institutions to help me deliver cutting edge solutions to the business. I possess professional scientific expertise in: -Food enzymology -Protein and peptide chemistry -Protein hydrolysis in batch and enzymatic membrane reactors -Protein & peptide chromatography -Protein and peptide mass spectrometry (ESI-MS and MALDI-MS) -Membrane filtration technology I'm licensed in Germany to teach and mentor PhD candidates in ''Food Biotechnology'' with special focus on ''Enzyme Technology'' and (food) protein technology. Published in protein Chemistry and proteomics. I love motivating, teaching, arguing, negotiating and teasing.
