A strategic, visionary leader, Shannon is driven by a deep personal and professional desire to meaningfully contribute to making the world a better place than she found it. As a breast cancer survivor, she has experienced first-hand the critical importance of creating sustainable healthcare systems capable of providing the right treatment for the right patient at the right time. She is passionate about reimagining medicine to improve and extend people’s lives and focuses her own efforts as well as those of her teams on ensuring that Moderna delivers for patients. Shannon has worked to enable these efforts by empowering organizations to make principles-based decisions that yield longer-term benefit. Shannon is a strong believer in the transformative impact of authentic and vulnerable leadership, which can only truly succeed if enabled by an inclusive company culture.
