Stephan H Schug, MD, MPH has been educated as a physician with a focus on public health. As a recognised European eHealth expert he promotes the quality gains and the transformation of healthcare enabled by eHealth, integrated care and telemedicine. He is President and Acting Board Member of the German eHealth Association and Managing Owner of IQmed® Healthcare Consultants, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Dr. Schug lectures regularly at international conferences e.g. on eHealth interoperability and ePrescribing in the support of patient safety. He also serves regularly as chair and/or organiser of National and international events. As founding/honorary member and former Chief Medical Officer / Partner in the Management Team of EHTEL, Brussels he has a 20 years track record in stakeholder liaison and multidisciplinary platforms.
