Highly experienced leader, company builder, CTO, businessperson, inventor, technologist, and educator. I have always striven to develop technologies, products, and companies to make the future be better than the past. Widely regarded by others as a technology visionary, a strong leader of people, and a compelling speaker, I have been CTO and a key executive at two startups that went public, two startups that were acquired, one Fortune 500 company, and my current company, Xperi. My products and technologies have had far-reaching impact in fields ranging from logic simulation, combinatorial optimization, and place-and-route to pharmaceutical discovery to programmable logic. I am the recipient of a World Technology Award and an Edison Award, and I am an inventor on roughly 390 U.S. patents across multiple disciplines. I have given keynote and invited lectures at numerous conferences and universities around the world.
