I explore effective ways of bridging career leadership with my background in educational development in order to develop high impact career development to adequately prepare higher education students from the beginning for careers post-graduation, no matter what complex barriers they face. Who am I? Career Development/Leadership: Expanding my diverse background beyond career center management, coaching and job transitions to provide leadership and vision in planning, development and delivery of comprehensive career and professional development programming and services for students and recent alumni from across all faculties. Educational Developer/ Facilitator: I am an experienced faculty developer, with expertise in curriculum and program development, teaching and learning strategies, course design and technopedagogy. I have a vested interest in diversity, inclusion, sustainable teaching practices and online learning. In my position, I am fortunate enough to work with faculty and researchers on many projects such as decolonization and indigenization of the curriculum and The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) with the goal of improving student learning. Professional Development and Experiential Learning: Specialized in training, learning and development, and workplace performance within higher education institutions. Growing experiential learning opportunities, including internships, and other co-curricular experiential learning initiatives to expand and promote work-integrated and experiential learning across the university. Human Resources: With over ten years of experience in human resources, I actively designed and co-developed employee training and learning programs, performance improvement practices, e-Learning in workplaces, and employee career development. Event Management: I coordinate annual employee group events for over 200+ attendees. My team also develops employee development programs, and professional development activities for all staff. Outside of work, you will find me running long distances, and that does not include running after my kids!
