As the CEO at Sweden’s Fintech Hub my job is to develop the Swedish ecosystem around fintech and financial services. Sweden is well known for its great fintech and tech companies but there is a lack of cooperation and consistency between the various stakeholders in the financial services industry (private enterprises, government agencies both domestic as well as foreign entities). By closing this gap the speed and growth of fintech companies will prosper beyond the obvious. My foremost goal is to create a structured fintech ecosystem and to develop new fintech unicorns that can take on the world and completely digitalize the old fashioned financial services industry. This means to find new ways of exploring true financial inclusion that can be utilized by people from all walks of life and from every country on our planet. By developing a global network of fintech hubs, accelerator programs, governments and experts in key markets I have been able to accelerate the scale-up and expansion of Swedish fintech companies around the world. A lot more will be revealed by the end of 2021 and 2022. The people that are involved in developing the Swedish fintech ecosystem are just like me truly passionate about the job at hand , but at the same time very much down to earth! Before I joined Findec I have experience as a senior expert advisor to the Swedish and the Irish government’s business development agencies, entrepreneur in Southeast Asia, mentor, management consultant, country manager, mergers & acquisitions director and sales manager.
