Nelson Mandela once said “I never lose, I either win or learn.” I build great teams and engage and empower them to do really challenging things! What motivates me professionally is being able to influence outcomes. Advising CEOs and other Executives to help them make strategic decisions for the betterment of their people and organizations. I am passionate about coaching and developing both executives and my team and I look forward to the random challenges that we encounter and helping others navigate and work through those challenges. Having an impact on the personal and professional lives of others is the best part of what I do. I am so proud of the successes and big steps that those I have supported have made. Seeing businesses transform and being able to trace those successes back to the work I have done and the ideas and transformational strategies I have helped developed… I never tire of that. I would say that my biggest achievements would be introduction of the Diversity & Inclusion program at Stanley/Black & Decker as well as the African American Affinity Group and Women’s Network. These programs grew into something where all top executives became involved and they have just named their first Chief Diversity Officer. Also, I was able to introduce the first Wellness program at Flir. These programs all garnered a tremendous amount of employee engagement and gave me an opportunity to be a leader by really propping people up and they stand out above all other accomplishments. Others would describe me as a charismatic and transformational Leader. I get everyone involved, keep positive energy going and achieve a high level of engagement. I am pretty direct, but also tactful and others appreciate my honest and direct approach combined with my willingness to dig in and get the work done.
