I have 25 years of experience in online monitoring of bioprocesses. My particular passion is the use of biosensors for continuous measurement of glucose and lactate. This gives the customer additional information about what is happening in their bioreactor without consuming medium or compromising the sterility of the process. I am very proud that with TRACE (www.trace.de) we have installed our sensors in this field worldwide at almost all major pharmaceutical and biotech companies, many start-ups as well as renowned universities and research institutes. It is very exciting to be able to help develop these complex bioprocesses into robust industrial production processes.
