The lead on Birmingham's Route to Net Zero, I am responsible for a portfolio of projects and initiatives to deliver upon the City's Net Zero ambition and optimise the co-benefits that net zero presents. With a long standing consultancy background in global and UK businesses, I've worked with local authority and other public and private sector clients for over 18 years focusing on the successful development and delivery of a wide variety of projects, with particular expertise in heat and energy infrastructure and low carbon housing. Collaborating with a range of strategic partners, organisational leads and specialists including researchers, engineers, community leaders, commercial and financial experts, my role involves the coordination and prioritisation of many varied opportunities and the tackling of complex risks and issues. Strategic and innovative in approach, I seek to embed Route to Zero principles in everything we do and ensure our portfolio maximises carbon reduction as well as social, environmental and economic benefit. Alongside the day job, I support the fantastic work of the Sustainable Housing Action Partnership (SHAP) as a Chair of the Board, and am a proud member of the women's networking group, the District Heating Divas, hosting the Midlands meetings.
