Workplace learning has many challenges. In the current evolving environment people are demanding a shift in how they work and learn. As we rely more on technology to get work done remotely, what defines good workplace learning, how to make sure it gets applied and how to measure its effectiveness are becoming critical issues to the success of all businesses. Something that can't change without taking action is that learners don’t always apply what they have learned back in the workplace. In fact, less than 40% of what is learned is immediately applied, and that decreases over time to between 20-25%! I have dedicated my working life to understanding why - even when training is great - learning isn’t always applied, and to come up with practical solutions that help learning designers and businesses overcome the specific problems that each learning intervention creates. I partner with L&D, HR and Division managers to overcome costly learning application barriers and get learning applied in work. When these strategies are implemented they can justify investment in learning and demonstrate how and why learning transfer can improve business results. I work with you to answer the critical question: Why isn't learning getting applied, and what can we do about it? >>>To learn more about how to create high performance learning, or to see how you can optimise your offerings through personal development visit www.practicaltrainingtransfer.com >>>You can also contact me at ian.townley@next-practices.co.uk
