The world has changed tremendously over this past year, in both expected and unexpected ways. Staying ahead of emerging trends and identifying opportunities early, requires ongoing, relentless curiosity. I often ask myself and my teams: Why do we do things a certain way? And what are we missing if we keep doing it the way it has "always" been done?
As the VP of Google's Retail Sector, I work with companies across all retail categories. And for the past decade and a half, I've had a front row seat to the rapidly changing digital ecosystem. The circumstances of 2020 have only accelerated the need for digital transformation and maturation. From managing sales operations to working alongside brands like Amazon, Wayfair, and other leading players in retail, I've advised the biggest market-movers in the performance space and learned the value of constant transformation and innovation. My passion is helping business leaders think bigger and take meaningful action, by experimenting and embracing cutting-edge technologies so marketers can work smarter not harder to engage their customers.
At the end of the day, I believe our people matter most. As a leader, it is my core mission to create more diverse, equitable and inclusive cultures and communities so that everyone can thrive. And that starts with the same spirit of challenging the status quo and taking action. For the sake of our businesses, customers, and teammates, we can seize the opportunity to do more faster and learn invaluable lessons along the way.
