Martha Soehren is the former Chief Talent Development Officer and SVP Comcast Cable. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Martha has 19 years of experience with the Telecommunications, Media, and Entertainment Industry of which almost 15 years are as Chief Learning Officer, and she assumed an additional role of Chief Talent Development Officer in July 2012. Her learning background started with the Army where she spent 25 years, and validated programs of instruction for the Army's many service schools, and developed manpower staffing standards for the schools and other functional groups. She served as an efficiency expert, and as a lecturer and consultant in six-sigma/quality management. Martha serves on the Doctorate of Learning Advisory Board for the GSE/Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, served as member and Chair for Women in Cable and Telecommunications and, and served as Chair for ATD’s Board of Directors. Martha also serves as the Chair of the Compensation Committee for the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and also served on its Board of Directors, and she serves as a Learning Leader with the Elliott Masie Learning Consortium. Martha served as an Executive Champion for the Comcast Veteran’s Affinity Group, and served as a mentor in all Comcast formal mentor programs. She is a contributing editor to Intrepid’s e-book on the Innovation Worker, Masie’s field book for CLOs, and author of various articles related to learning in T&D Magazine, and various HR/Learning publications. She is acknowledged by CLO Media as a learning leader in CLO Magazine, Woman to Watch by Multi-Channel News, Most Powerful Women in Cable by CableFax, and was granted the Liberty Award by Philadelphia WICT.
