As a clinical nurse specialist I am blessed to be able to impact healthcare in a positive and unique manner. I am able to help providers be more effective, from preventing or recovering from burnout, de-escalating and resolving conflict, and implementing processes that makes it easier to provide the level of care they want to be able to provide. I work with providers, patients and processes that result in improved patient outcomes. As a consultant I have learned that supporting healthcare professionals is one of the most effective ways to change patient outcomes. Healthcare is changed through helping providers grow and thrive in their professional and personal lives. By developing support and innovative practices at the bedside providers are able to improve patient outcomes and their own efficiency, engagement, and success. Speaking both nationally and locally allows me to share my passion on topics related topreventing and recovering from burnout, maintaining appropriate boundaries, both professionally and personally, resolving and de-escalating conflict, and preventing healthcare-associated infections.
