    I believe Xiain was a very rich experience for me because I was able to network with peers, able to hear good technical presentations, especially on my area which is maintenance and reliability, but I also had a chance to peak on mining decarbonization, AI, and other topics that having a conference has brought as CIM. We can have exposure to the topics outside of our own areas. I made a few new contacts there and I'm looking forward to connecting with them in the future. The export trade show was amazing. I've met with good vendors and suppliers that can help me along the way. I got a few business cards there. I'm following up with them on a few, not just only new technologies, but also on, smarter ways to procure for parts. So that's a very rich experience that I had at CIM in general. I'm looking forward to at the end the another one in the future.

    A very complete experience - tradeshow, technical presentations and networking
    What did you like best about the event?
    I think that the opportunity to hear leaders in my area (Maintenance) and also have the chance to hear keynote speakers.
    What could the organizers do to improve the event?
    I think it's a very well planned event. Maybe have some extra sitting areas when we are not attending sessions.

    Good balance of expo and presentations.
    What did you like best about the event?
    Interesting presentation topics & a good amount of technical presentations. A lot of AI-based topics, which are very current.

    There were a lot of presentations on the last day, but many people left after the expo.

    Well-organised event! Great topics, speakers & a fantastic venue.
    What did you like best about the event?
    The Expo, with breaks and lunch times, provided an excellent opportunity to network with new and existing contacts.
    What could the organizers do to improve the event?
    There were not many engineering or mining firms on the Expo floor. Might be interesting to target them in future.

    Great opportunity to engage with the mining community!
    What did you like best about the event?
    The quality and breadth of the technical presentations reflected the evolving industry trends. And the chance to hear about some of the good work being done.
    What could the organizers do to improve the event?
    Include more tea/coffee, and snacks to encourage engagement. Maybe create a centralised coffee station - multiple stations create too much of a spread of people to be effective for engagement.

    Positive attendee experience, with slight organisational hiccups for presentation.
    What did you like best about the event?
    The technical program was, for the most part, interesting and varied. It was useful to get a high level view from a technical practitioner's perspective of ML in mining and to get several detailed case studies.
    What could the organizers do to improve the event?
    There was a mistake in the scheduled time for the session in which I presented, which was disruptive. Otherwise, I think it would be very valuable for CIM to invite speakers to critically discuss problems, challenges, and shortfalls in mining. I think actively engaging with shortcomings in the industry is critical to focusing an individual's work for the coming year.

    Very well-organised event with insightful presentations and productive discussions!
    What did you like best about the event?
    The technical sessions on current challenges and innovations in the mining industry, along with the networking opportunities, were the highlights of the event. I especially appreciated the discussions on emerging technologies, sustainability, and collaboration between industry, academia, and government.
    What could the organizers do to improve the event?
    The event was very well organized overall. One possible improvement would be to allow more time for networking and technical discussions between sessions, as many attendees were interested in continuing conversations and exploring collaboration opportunities.

    I particularly enjoyed the technical sessions focused on sustainable mining, water treatment, and emerging processing technologies. The presentations that combined practical industry challenges with innovative research approaches were especially insightful.

    As a student, I noticed that some student programs overlapped with interesting technical sessions. I would suggest scheduling the student activities on a different day or at different times with fewer conflicts so that students can benefit from both opportunities.
