As a junior exploration company, the IMA conference is a good way to meet investors and suppliers. You get to give a presentation and promote your projects. And also meet with in a one on one platform style situation, potential investors or other people that might be interested in your projects.

A busy conference, well attended by investors and suppliers!
What did you like best about the event?
There were many areas of the mining industry covered - from big picture talks to representatives from many countries and junior explorers all under one roof.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The set-up for speakers in the Fender theatre could be improved by positioning the screen closer so the speaker can see their notes or even just their presentation - it was too far away to read the text - many speakers resorted to looking at the big screen behind them.

What did you like best about the event?
The networking opportunities were fantastic. Everyone was very open and ready to have a productive conversation. Some of the talks were very insightful!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Some of the panels were adverts for the companies their speakers were from and didn't address the topic. It would be good to have a pool of experienced moderators who can bring panel members back to a certain topic.
