"Incredible TA event! "

I loved the unique set-up of RecFest. I've never heard of a conference run like a festival before, and it was executed so well. The variety of vendors, stands, food, drinks, and entertainment was top-notch. Basement Jaxx was such a nice touch to let our hair down! I will be a regular at RecFest from now on, and if you're debating getting a ticket, do it. You definitely won't regret it. There's nothing else like it!

I was very impressed by the event, the scale of it and really the mood. I have to say I was a little bit overwhelmed because I wasn't expecting something like that from a professional event. The festival vibes really and how relaxed it was. I think I'm looking forward to, I am looking forward to it coming next year and really making the most out of it now that I know what it's like.

Yeah, Netflix was super fun. Good vibes. Very lucky on the weather though. I would, I would question how it would be if it was wet. So, but it wasn't. So, yeah, it was a good vibe. I think it would be good to have better, maybe more structured networking. It can be really overwhelming because there's lots of people to talk and if you're just a journal attendee, it can be quite, quite challenging, especially if you're not massively extroverted. So more structured networking opportunities would be good.

Incredible TA event!

What did you like best about the event?

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

The only thing to improve would be to have more food vendors. I'm lucky we had a VIP lunch in the Join Talent tent, but so many people ended up queuing for up to an hour and a half for food. I appreciate it might be difficult, but if there's a way to regulate the temperature in the tents, it will make such a big difference. I have migraines that are triggered by heat, so I had to avoid going into any tents in the afternoon as the temperatures started to increase, which meant I couldn't watch some talks I had intended to protect.
